This policy explains how booking, cancellation, rescheduling, and refunds work for photography and videography services from MH-Content. It complements the full Terms & Conditions.

Confirming a booking

A booking is confirmed once you have:

  • Accepted the written quote in writing (email is sufficient).
  • Paid any agreed booking fee (where applicable).

Once a booking is confirmed, the shoot date is reserved for you. I turn down other work that conflicts with your confirmed date.

Booking fees

For new clients or larger projects, a booking fee of up to 50% of the project total may be required to confirm the date. This fee is non-refundable in the event of late cancellation (see below).

For established clients, I usually work on invoice without an upfront booking fee — this is agreed per project.

Cancellation by the client

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following applies:

  • More than 14 days before the shoot: any booking fee is refunded in full, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already paid on your behalf (location permits, equipment hire, etc.).
  • Between 14 and 7 days before the shoot: 50% of the booking fee is retained.
  • Less than 7 days before the shoot: the full booking fee is retained, and any direct costs already incurred will be invoiced.

If no booking fee was paid, late cancellation may still incur a cancellation fee covering costs already committed.

Cancellation by the photographer

In the unlikely event I have to cancel — illness, injury, equipment failure not resolvable in time, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control — my liability is limited to a full refund of any fees paid. Where possible, I will help find a replacement photographer or videographer.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible.

  • More than 14 days before the shoot: rescheduling is usually possible at no additional fee.
  • Less than 14 days before the shoot: a rebooking fee may apply depending on whether the original date can be filled.

Weather-dependent outdoor shoots can be rescheduled without fee where conditions make the shoot genuinely impossible. This is agreed case-by-case.

Refunds for delivered work

Photography and videography are creative services. Once edited work has been delivered, refunds are not provided based on subjective dissatisfaction (e.g. preferring a different look or style).

However, where there is a clear defect — for example, files corrupted on delivery, missing agreed deliverables, or material technical failure during the shoot — please contact me within 14 days of delivery. I will work to resolve the issue, including reshooting where reasonable and practical, or refunding the fee attributable to the affected portion of the work.

Revisions

Each project includes a reasonable revision round on edited work — typically one or two adjustments per delivered set, agreed in the quote. Substantial additional revisions beyond what was agreed may incur additional fees.
