I'm a photographer and videographer in Cape Town, and HYROX is a format I know from the inside — I train this way myself. What to know.

Do you shoot HYROX and functional fitness racing?

Yes. I covered HYROX Cape Town 2026 at the CTICC for Virgin Active — 100 edited images across all eight workout stations and the run course. Functional fitness needs a different shooting approach than aesthetic gym work: faster shutter speeds, anticipating peak movements (the moment a wall ball leaves the hand, the top of a burpee), and capturing the suffering as much as the strength. I shoot from inside the discipline.

Can you cover HYROX for a sponsor or brand, not just the athlete?

Yes. Stand and activation coverage runs alongside the race-floor images — client meetings, product moments, team portraits — the same brief structure I use for CTICC exhibition stands. One operator across both, so the sponsor content and the athlete content share a consistent look.

What does HYROX event coverage cost?

Quoted per event, scoped by station count, hours on site, and deliverables — race-day photo and video sit on a different scale to a half-day athlete session. Sponsor and brand activation coverage is quoted separately from athlete-focused packages. I'll send a clear scope within 24 hours of your enquiry.
