I covered XTERRA South Africa in Grabouw — two full race days, swim start at Theewaterskloof dam, mountain bike through Western Cape fynbos, trail run across rocky singletrack, 250 edited images delivered to the race organisation. Triathlon coverage means constant repositioning: wide at the mass swim start, panning at speed on open MTB sections, a longer lens in technical singletrack, then back on foot for the finish line. One operator, moving through transitions and terrain changes as fast as the athletes do.

What to know.

Do you only cover XTERRA, or other triathlons and off-road races too?

I covered XTERRA South Africa in Grabouw — swim, MTB, and trail run across two race days — but the approach works for any triathlon or off-road multisport event: Ironman 70.3, local sprint triathlons, duathlons, adventure races.

How do you cover multiple disciplines across one race?

Position matters more than gear. Wide at the mass swim start, a longer lens for technical MTB singletrack, panning at speed on open sections, back on foot for trail running and the finish line. For multi-day races I plan positions and transitions in advance so I'm never caught out of place.

What do you deliver after race day?

Full edited galleries — for XTERRA South Africa that was 250 images across two days, covering swim, MTB, trail run, transition, and finish. Turnaround and deliverables are scoped to the brief, with same-day social cuts available for organisers or sponsors who need content live during the event.
