iSprout's Future of Power Summit brought together students, engineers and industry speakers at STIAS, Stellenbosch University for a full day of talks, panels and networking around energy and innovation. The brief was photo and video coverage across the full day: arrival and networking, sessions in the lecture theatre, Q&A moments, remote speaker screens, and the group close-out — plus a 90-second highlight reel for post-event use across iSprout's channels.

STIAS is a quieter, more intimate venue than a convention centre — the sessions are focused and the room is relatively small, which means being unobtrusive matters more than at a large-scale event. I shot the lecture sessions from the back and sides to avoid disrupting speakers or breaking audience attention, moving closer during Q&A when participants were already holding a microphone and facing outward. Networking frames were shot candidly during arrival and the catering break — lanyards, conversation, the detail shots that place the event without needing a caption. For the highlight reel I captured enough b-roll across the day — room atmospherics, close-ups of the screen, delegate reactions — to build a 90-second cut that works without a voiceover.
