Personal portfolio shoot with Cape Town-based professional model Simone. Sports lifestyle across multiple Cape Town locations — studio-style concrete walls, outdoor courts, and city streets at dusk. 8
A personal portfolio project built around sports lifestyle photography in Cape Town. Working with professional model Simone across a range of locations — concrete underpasses, an outdoor sports court, and city streets at dusk — the goal was to produce a set that sits between editorial and activewear campaign work. No client brief, no product to sell. Just a clearly lit, well-directed set that shows what this kind of work looks like when it's done properly.
— 80 images, photo only
— Single shoot day across multiple Cape Town locations
— Sports lifestyle direction: movement, stillness, and editorial portraits in one set
— Brands visible in frame: Under Armour, BURNT activewear, New Balance footwear
— No client deliverable
— built for portfolio and inbound credibility
Three distinct location moods in one shoot. The concrete underpass gave controlled, directional light and a clean architectural backdrop for full-body and movement shots. The outdoor court brought natural Cape Town sunlight — hard shadows, blue sky, a different energy. The city street at dusk added a lifestyle layer: headphones, a jacket, bokeh from streetlights.
Direction shifted between active movement — jumping, running, stretching — and deliberate stillness for portrait and editorial frames. The contrast between the two is what makes a fitness portfolio usable across different briefs.
— 80 final edited images across three location sets
— Mix of action, portrait, and lifestyle frames
— usable across editorial, activewear, and athlete personal branding contexts
— Full portfolio set ready for use in prospecting and inbound work
